The air is crisper. Mornings require coats. And everywhere you go seems to have the scent of apple pie – it’s October in Rhode Island, but the chilly air won’t stop us from giving back wherever we can. Here’s what’s happening in the ALEX AND ANI world straight from the people living it…

Building Community

On Thursday, October 6th, our employees volunteered with Habitat for Humanity to build a home for a family in the Rhode Island community. Our employees worked together to complete the paneling on one side of the house. Members of Team (+) Impact also worked to install beams in the interior of the house, helping to get this house one step closer to becoming a home.

Get Spooky for Good

Join CHARITY BY DESIGN partner, Roger Williams Park Zoo, at the Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular from October 6th to November 6th. In celebration of our partnership, the Spectacular features two ALEX AND ANI themed jack-o-lanterns: one carved with our classic heart logo and one carved with the CARRY LIGHT/American .925 logo of our new LIBERTY COPPER Collection, which is crafted with original copper preserved from the Statue of Liberty’s centennial restoration. Be on the look out for them in the “sponsor” section!

Caroyln Rafaelian Honored through AIWA!

The Armenian International Women’s Association, (AIWA), is an independent organization that brings women together through their network to educate, mentor, and support each other so Armenian women can develop their leadership skills and reach their full potential. We’re proud to announce that AIWA chose Carolyn Rafaelian to receive the 2016 AIWA Visionary Leadership in Entrepreneurial Work Award. Honoring Carolyn’s rich Armenian background and her unwavering drive to pair success with community support, AIWA views her as an inspiration to women, with an exceptional and influential story to share. Carolyn’s mother, Lucy, accepted the award on her behalf and graciously thanked everyone for their love and support. You can read more about the night here!

Saving the Bay

Last month, Team (+) Impact worked with Save The Bay to keep our beautiful Narragansett Bay protected and clean. The team collected 112 lbs. of trash and picked up 1,500 cigarette butts. Watch the team get involved!
