Based on the overwhelming request to create something to support those affected by the tragedy in Newtown, Connecticut, Charity By Design, in conjunction with our Executive Team, has been exploring ways in which we can help on a larger scale, but right now the situation is too sensitive in nature for an overt corporate gesture as families grieve and remember their loved ones. Until we decide our official plan of action, we ask you to join us in sending (+) positive energy through your thoughts, intentions, blessings and prayers.

A Moment of Silence

We hope that you will join us on Friday, December 21st at 9:30 a.m., as the staff of Alex and Ani joins the rest of the nation in a moment of silence for Sandy Hook Elementary School. Church bells throughout Connecticut and other regions will ring at this time.

The Snowflake Project

A building has been designated to house the students from Sandy Hook Elementary School. As desks, chairs and supplies are transported to this location, we want to do something to make these children feel comforted upon their return to school. Please join us in “The Snowflake Project” where we are making and decorating snowflakes that will be hung in the hallways of the stark, new building where the Sandy Hook students will be returning. Please leave words out as we want to simply create a cheerful and happy (think glitter and sparkle) environment for the students entering the new building. Those who wish to send snowflakes should send them by January 12, 2013 and address them to Connecticut PTSA, 60 Connolly Parkway, Building 12, Suite 13, Hamden, CT 06514.
