When life gives you lemons, Instagram them.


Squares, sorbet, meringue, oh my! Lemons are found in a majority of dishes and desserts, but today we are celebrating the classic lemonade. August 20th is National Lemonade Day and what better way to celebrate than our favorite non-traditional lemonade recipes? Try these two refreshing drinks out and let us know what you think!

Fresh Peach Lemonade
What You Need: 
– 4 cups water
– 2 medium chopped peaches
-1 cup sugar
-3/4 cup lemon juice
-1 medium sliced lemon

What To Do:
1. In a small saucepan, bring 2 cups of the water, chopped peaches, and 1 cup of sugar to a boil
2. Once boiling, reduce heat and cover to simmer for 5-7 minutes or until peaches are tender.
3. Remove from the heat, cool, and strain peach skins.
4. Pour contents into pitcher with lemon juice, remaining water, and add ice.

Sunny Orange Lemonade
What You Need:
– 4-1/4 cups water
-1 cup sugar
-3/4 cup lemon juice
-3/4 cup orange juice
-2 teaspoons grated lemon peel
-1 teaspoon grated orange peel
-ice cubes
-lemon slices

What To Do:
1. In a small saucepan, bring 1-1/4 cups water and sugar to a boil.
2. Reduce the heat and let simmer for 10 minutes.
3. Transfer to a pitcher after cool and add lemon, orange juices, and peels.
4. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, stir in the remaining water and serve with ice.

Lemonade Iced Tea
What You Need:
– 3 quarts water
– 9 individual tea bags
– 3/4 to 1-1/4 cups sugar
– 1 can frozen lemonade concentrate
– lemon slices

What To Do:
1. Bring water to a boil.
2. Remove from the heat and add tea bags.
3. Stir in sugar and lemonade concentrate, cover, cool, then serve over ice.
