On November 21, 2016, CHARITY BY DESIGN partner, the Joe Andruzzi Foundation, invited ALEX AND ANI to attend their 9th Annual Gratitude Gala. The event took place at the Putnam Club at Gillette Stadium.
Nicki Maher, Senior Vice President of CHARITY BY DESIGN, was honored to accept the UpBeat Cancer Award on behalf of ALEX AND ANI in recognition of our mission aligning with that of the Joe Andruzzi Foundation. Also in attendance were current and former New England Patriots players.
The Joe Andruzzi Foundation invited their honorary guest, six-year old Sebastian Lopes Calado, to the gala. Sebastian was diagnosed in 2014 with T-Cell Leukemia at four years old. However, Sebastian was declared cancer free as of September 2016! Watch this moving video below to see just how a donation to the Joe Andruzzi Foundation can make a difference in a family’s life dealing with a child diagnosed with cancer.
Our social media coordinator, Jenn Olivo, was also in attendance at the event. Jenn says,
“This event is filled with positivity and generosity, as can be seen through the bids made for both the silent and live auctions. It was both emotional and amazing to watch the video that our production team created to highlight the night’s honorary guest and cancer survivor, six-year old Sebastian. There was not a dry eye in the house! Overall, the Joe Andruzzi Foundation aligns perfectly with our brand and overall mission. It was an honor to attend this gala for the second year in a row.”
