After partnering with Roger Williams Park Zoo in Rhode Island, and experiencing the programs that they have to offer the community to educate and preserve the world around us, we immediately knew we wanted to support aligning organizations on a national level.

We were soon introduced to the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) through our relationship with Roger Williams Park Zoo. AZA is dedicated to providing its members the services, high standards and best practices needed to be leaders and innovators in animal care, wildlife conservation and science, conservation education, guest experiences and community engagement.

We created the Penguin Bangle, which serves as an inspiration to take a leap of faith. This wandering creature moves freely, leaps into the air, consistently lands on its feet and confidently walks upright.

Before the launch of our bangle, our Charity by Design team was able to visit AZA Accredited Mystic Aquarium in Connecticut. They had the opportunity to experience how dedicated staff, trainers and supporters are engaging youth and adults in their conservation and preservation programs, ensuring that every trip is filled with knowledge and appreciation for the environment.

During their visit, the Charity by Design team learned about the interactive programs the aquarium offers to the community including Sea School — the nations first-and-only licensed preschool available in an aquarium. They also support and encourage JASON learning, which is a non-profit organization that connects students, both in and out of the classroom, to real science and exploration in order to inspire and motivate them to study and pursue careers in science, technology, engineering and math.

The Penguin Bangle will be available in stores and on tomorrow, November 14th. 20% of all sales from the bangle will benefit Association for Zoos and Aquariums, a non-profit dedicated to the advancement of zoos and aquariums in the areas of wildlife conservation, science education, and a better future for all living things.
