The Armenian International Women’s Association, (AIWA), is an independent organization that brings women together through their network to educate, mentor, and support each other so Armenian women can develop their leadership skills and reach their full potential.

Through AIWA’s network of thousands of supporters, friends, and members around the world, AIWA has been responding to the needs, interests, and futures of Armenian women around the world for the last 25 years.

The organization chose ALEX AND ANI Founder, CEO, and Chief Creative Officer, Carolyn Rafaelian, to receive the 2016 AIWA Visionary Leadership in Entrepreneurial Work Award, which recognizes a person who align passion and power, infusing work with unique talents and resources to become a visionary entrepreneur and inspiring leader. Honoring Rafaelian’s rich Armenian background and her unwavering drive to pair success with community support, AIWA views her as an inspiration to women, with an exceptional and influential story to share.
