On November 9, 2013, Alex and Ani’s Charity by Design was the gold star sponsor of WaterFire Salute to Veterans in downtown Providence. It was a full lighting dedicated to Veterans and members of the Armed Forces and their families.

The evening was one to remember with several events taking place, such as a resource fair to provide information and education on what Veterans face post service, the Missing Man Table, and the Soldiers Cross among other things. There was also the Starry, Starry Night display of glowing blue stars that signified Blue Star families living in Rhode Island.

The torch procession and lighting ceremony featured a large number of Veterans marching toward the basin led by Rhode Island Professional Firefighters Pipes and Drums. They gathered for the Ring of Fire ceremony to signify the beginning of the evening. Our very own David Rozen, Senior Vice President of Finance, carried a torch during this moving portion of the evening.

Colour of London, the voice of Alex and Ani, performed on the Alex and Ani stage. They sang popular songs “Shine Out” and “Carolyn” among others and got guests to their feet for this special celebration.

We are thrilled to have been part of such a momentous event in honor of Veterans and members of our Armed Forces!
